Usenet University

I have blogged about Usenet Newsgroups before. I also intended on writing an article on getting started with newsgroups. Fortunately Giganews (my news server of choice) has has done that for me. They have created Usenet University, a great place for beginners to learn about newsgroups.

Peer to Peer networking

I’ve never been a big fan of p2p myself, too many viruses and too much of a strain on bandwith. Mark Cuban offers compelling arguments against p2p here and here. Personally, I find binary newsgroups a far better method of downloading and distributing files. More on newsgroups soon.
